CD, DVD Player cannot play CD or DVD discs
Chances are, the lens inside can no longer read them. In this case, the lens needs to be cleaned. Two ways you can clean it.
1. If you have a disc cleaning disc, try to play it and let it spin in your cdrom for a minute. Then play again. If that does not work,
2. You might need to open up your CD Rom's casing and clean the lens manually. Unscrew the plastic plate that covers the lens. Get a soft cotton bud or a Q tip and slightly wet it with alcohol. Gently wipe the lens. Make sure you let it dry. Return everything back and try playing CD and DVD again.
Cannot Open CD drive on laptop
When pressing the eject button, the CD tray wont open.
Solution:
There is actually a small pin hole on the cd drive. Whilst the laptop is turned on, you just have to push a paper clip or any pointed object to that hole. That would eject your CD tray manually. Hope this helps.
